Why we need this scheme

The roundabout currently suffers from congestion at peak times, resulting in delays.

Aims

The extra lane will increase capacity. Reconfiguring the traffic signals will improve how traffic flows through the roundabout. This will help to reduce congestion and delays. We are also providing new lane markings and signs to improve safety.
